The most important objectives of the project are the following:
- Increasing Roma youth civic participation
- Raise awareness among leaders and representatives of youth groups, people working in municipalities and youth associations about the discrimination against this group.
- Create and develop educational materials in line with the needs of Roma youth using digital tools.
- Acquisition of competencies of 15 youth workers on how to promote the participation of young Roma in Erasmus+ programmes and on European values.
- To promote the social inclusion of young Roma by supporting and improving the conditions of their position in society.
Here are, what are the main activities of our project
- Drafting an E-Guide on how to promote the participation of Roma youth in Erasmus+ programmesThis activity, led by KEPDER, consists of the creation of an Electronic Guide aimed at local Roma associations, young Roma men and women, as well as other related groups, and whose mission is to promote the participation of young Roma in the programmes offered by Erasmus+.
- Organizing a learning and training activityThis activity will be organised by Fair Chance and will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria. This activity will show the materials produced (Electronic Guide) to youth workers, representatives of Roma associations and leaders of collectives working in the youth field.
- Organizing dissemination events in all the partner countriesThe organisation in charge of leading this activity will be INNETICA, however, all project partners will participate in dissemination activities. A total of 4 local workshops will be held: one in Romania (organised by Vox Civica); one in Spain (organised by Horizonte XXII); one in Turkey (organised by KEPDER); and one in Bulgaria (organised by Fair Chance). These events will aim to present the 'New Generation Roma Youth' project, its objectives and results.
