THE STORY BEHIND THE PROJECT

 

The idea of ​​this project was born from the need to provide teachers in schools where Roma students study and a series of tools and teaching approaches that facilitate an appropriate relationship with this category of students and even propose the development of skills of such students in a series areas of interest to them, such as: reducing functional illiteracy, assessing skills according to the “Balance of Skills” model developed by France since 1986, developing entrepreneurial skills, etc.
Thus, the Vox Civica Association promoted viable partnerships with a series of high schools in Buzau with which it formed a consortium and, together with them, applied in February 2020 session of the Erasmus Program + Key Action 104 – Adult Education. The project was declared the winner and now follows to move on to its implementation.

FIRST INFORMATION AND COUNSELING MEETING

On October 14 this year, the National Agency for the Community Programs in the Field of Education and Vocational Training, organized online (on the Zoom platform), the information and counseling meeting with institutions and organizations which won the projects session of Erasmus + KA104 in February 2020.
In the information and counseling meetings organized by ANPCDEFP were addressed in addition to the topics, according to the agenda, as follows:

1. Details of technical and contractual documents
2. Management of mobility projects
3. Mandatory IT tools to access: Europass and Mobility Tool +

Each of the topics was presented by an expert on mobility projects in the field of school education and adult education, a meeting taking place over three hours and enjoyed a special interest from the participants.
After the meeting, were sent to the participants, by e-mail, the PowerPoint presentations of the three experts as well as a series of other documents / templates needed during the implementation of the projects.

PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES

  In order to ensure a smooth implementation of our project we already foreseen the following preparatory activities, metioned below:

  1. – concluding the agreements with the Partners in order to establish the concrete tasks of each of us in the project implementation;
  2. – constituing the commision of selection of the participants to the mobilities;
  3. – establishing the selection criteria on which base will be selected the participants;
  4. – spreading the information about the selection of the participants to mobilities in the three High Schools and Vox Civica.
  5. – receiving the documents of the participants to the selection;
  6. – interview with the participants selected on the short list;
  7. – publication of the result of the selection;

THE MAIN MOBILITIES FIELDS

The provider of the training courses in these mobilities is HEEDA (Humán Erőforrásért Egyesület Dél-Alföldi Régió) from Kiskunhalas (Hungary) and the location where the courses will take place is Pici-Paci-Porta (in Kunfeherto – 18 km from Kiskunhalas), a very nice place situated in a middle of the forest, in a fairytale landscape – https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=657484651341178; https://www.facebook.com/picipaciporta/

The main mobilities fields, from which the participants can choose, in function of their needs of training, are the following:

  • LITERACY

Knowledge: The participants will agree on a joint definition of functional illiteracy. They know the Curriculum for improving the reading and writing skills, the Quality Standards for according alphabetisation measures and the specific needs of Roma.

  • VALIDATION OF SKILLS

Knowledge: The participants will know validation of skills according to the French Model including the methods and procedures, the Quality Criteria and the specific needs of Roma.

  • ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Knowledge: The participants will know how to improve the entrepreneurship abilities among Roma students in their schools and to increase their self-esteem in order to become a succesfull entrepreneur.

  • MOTIVATION

Knowledge: The participants will know how to better motivate Roma students in order to obtain good school results and how improve their everyday life.
